Welcome to The Boeing Company’s SBInet Supplier business opportunities website.
As the prime contractor for SBInet, Boeing is responsible for acquiring, deploying and sustaining technology and tactical infrastructure in support of U. S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) border security mission under the direction and guidance of the CBP SBInet Program ManagementOffice PMO.
Boeing has established this website as a resource for all potential SBInet business partners who can add value to our SBInet offerings. Boeing’s approach to SBInet relies on an agent focused and flexible “prime mission products” catalog (e.g., optical / infrared cameras,
radars, acoustic/magnetic/seismic unattended ground sensors, laser illuminators,
low/medium/high/very high power electrical generators, etc.).
This flexibility is a key element considering that the numerous variations in geography, terrain, and illegal traffic flow of different parts of the border require different amounts and types of technology, infrastructure, personnel, and rapid response capabilities. Boeing's “prime mission products” approach offers carefully crafted solutions for each particular area of the border while also being effectively integrated into an overall system of systems.
We encourage all potential suppliers who can add value to our border security prime mission products catalog and meet our requirements on a competitive basis to register as prospective suppliers for our CBP SBInet “prime mission products” catalog. Products in the prime mission products catalog must be commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) items
readily available for order in quantity. Moreover, they must be at Technology Readiness
Level (TRL) 8 or 9, requiring no additional development funding. If you are interested in registering, or you are returning to update your previous registration, please click on Supplier Registration
and submit your organization’s capabilities.

The Secure Border Initiative and SBInet
The Secure Border Initiative (SBI) was established
on November 2, 2005 by the U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a multi-year
plan to secure America’s borders and reduce illegal immigration. SBI will coordinate
DHS efforts to ensure the legal entry and exit of people and goods moving across
U.S. land borders and the enforcement of immigration, customs and agriculture laws
at the borders, within the country and abroad. On September 21, 2006 DHS announced
the award of the Department’s SBInet contract to Boeing. As the program component
of the Secure Border Initiative, SBInet will provide frontline personnel every advantage
in securing the nations’ land borders by fielding the most effective mix of proven
technologies, infrastructure, personnel and response platforms.
